The hand embroidered Pamyra Mosaic Pouch was created by the Amal Group, a collective of 20 Syrian refugees living in Istanbul, Turkey. Demonstrating a most innovative approach to cultural preservation, the women of the Amal group are using embroidery to immortalize the historic landmarks of their home country, Syria. On your pouch you will see mosaics of ancient Palmyra, Syria embellished with bright and joyful top-stitching. Each bag is fully lined, features a handcrafted tassel zip-closure, and measures 5.5”W x 9.5”L, making this a perfect place for storing makeup or bits and bobs when traveling.
