The hand embroidered Pamyra Mosaic pouch was created by the Amal Group, a collective of 20 Syrian refugees living in Istanbul, Turkey. Demonstrating a most innovative approach to cultural preservation, the women of the Amal group are using embroidery to immortalize the historic landmarks of their home country, Syria. On your pouch you will see mosaics of ancient Palmyra, Syria embellished with bright and joyful top-stitching. A staple accessory for all seasons, the Nest necklace is a signature favorite amongst the Nest family! Representing the power of cross-cultural collaboration, the necklace’s design originated in New York City with Nest Co-op member, Maxandra Short, who traveled with Nest to Seminyak, Bali to meet with Maryam Noer Said, an artisan leader of the Nest Guild. Here the Nest necklace took form, brass casted by hand by skilled artisans indigenous to Bali. The 3-inch pointed oval pendant is gold plated for shine and protection and hung upon a delicate 30-inch gold plated chain.
