Meet Dorianne Attiogbé
Founder, Dorianne Attiogbé, reignited her passion for crafting earrings in early 2020, as she grew tired of wearing the same mass-produced pieces as everyone else. During the pandemic, she utilized her time to explore new mediums and ultimately fell in love with polymer clay, leading to the inception of Atiwo.
Dorianne has a multicultural background, having been born and raised in Paris, France, to a Beninese mother and a Togolese father. At 24 years old, she migrated to the US to pursue her career as an engineer, and is now a proud resident of Seattle. Atiwo is her way of celebrating the diverse cultures that she experienced while growing up.
About Atiwo
Atiwo (formerly Atiwo Designs) is a unique brand of African-inspired handmade jewelry, located in Seattle, WA. Atiwo is an ode to her African heritage sprinkled with hints of all the other cultures that live within her. It’s a reflection of women embracing their uniqueness and rejecting predefined boxes.
All pieces are crafted by hand with love and passion, using polymer clay, African beads, and, most recently, cast brass. The designs are vibrant, colorful, and loud but also elegant, elevated, and refined. A mix of two worlds, just like me. Guaranteed to make a statement.
