The Nest Seal Lands in Target

The Nest Seal of Ethical Handcraft has started landing in Target stores across the country, with “the Nest bird” appearing on select baskets handwoven by 1,500 weavers in the Philippines.

After participating in Nest’s training and assessment program, the artisan business demonstrated a high level of compliance with the Nest Standards, giving the enterprise, and its partners like Target, access to the Nest Seal. More of an online shopper? Just look for the teal-colored Nest Seal badge on select product pages on Target.com to know that it bears the Seal. You’ll also be able to catch a quick educational slideshow on the Nest mission and impact for artisans. Since helping us launch the Nest Ethical Handcraft Program in December 2017, Target has remained a true pioneer in rethinking traditional retail structures to make way for artisan craftsmanship and home-based production.
